how to look better with correct color combination

Did you know that one color on your outfit can make or break your look? Imagine wearing an orange shirt and blue pants!

The colors don’t match at all, and it makes the whole outfit look terrible. That’s because colors are important – they affect our mood, health, confidence, and how others perceive us.

In this article, we’ll show you how to choose the right colors and how to combine them in order to look better every day!

Color rules

Color psychology is one of my favorite topics because it has such a huge impact on how people perceive you, and how you feel about yourself.

Bright colors—or dark shades of primary colors—make you seem younger and more alive than neutral shades. The key is balance.

If you’re wearing bright red pants, tone down your top and accessories so that they don’t compete for attention.

For example, if you’re wearing a bright red shirt, keep your jewelry simple or even skip it altogether.

Darker colors make you appear older and more serious; lighter tones can be playful and fun.

This isn’t an exact science (and there are plenty of exceptions), but choosing clothes in complementary colors will help ensure that you look put together rather than like a walking traffic light!

There are also other aspects of color that influence perception: Warm colors tend to advance toward us while cool colors recede away from us.

You can use warm and cool colors strategically when applying makeup.

Using cool-toned foundation, blush, eye shadow, lipstick, and mascara will give you a more youthful appearance by creating contrast between your face and neck.

And remember: Everyone looks good in black!

Combining colors together

The selection of colors is one of those things that is all art and no science. In other words, it’s something you just have to get a feel for.

However, some tips can help you get started. Start by figuring out which colors you like, and then use them in different combinations until you see what looks good.

You might even find that your favorite color combinations change over time as your sense of fashion evolves.

It’s not uncommon for people to say they love black and white together, but then later realize they prefer grey and white together instead.

Or maybe they loved purple on their walls when they were younger, but now prefer blue or green instead.

It’s up to you! Just remember that sometimes mixing two colors will create a third color—this is called a complementary color scheme.

For example, orange and blue make purple; red and green make brown; yellow and violet make gray; etc.

Neutral colors

While your choice of wardrobe is almost entirely a matter of personal taste, there are general rules that should be followed to create an attractive outfit.

First, keep things balanced by using neutral colors for at least two-thirds of your outfit.

These may include black, white, and shades of grey, as well as muted browns or greys.

Avoid vivid primary colors or bold patterns and stripes as these will compete for attention against other strong elements in your outfit such as jewelry or accessories.

Instead, opt for subtle tones and hues that complement each other without drawing too much attention.

Also, remember to consider how you’ll feel wearing each item; if you don’t like it on its own then you probably won’t like it when combined with others.

Applying the right colors

Proper makeup application starts with choosing a foundation that is one or two shades lighter than your skin tone.

This lightens up your facial features so you don’t have to apply any more makeup. Once you’ve got that down, it’s time for some accenting.

Find a shade of blush and eyeshadow (or eyeliner) that matches your cheekbones or complements your eye color.

No need for black eyeshadow every day. In fact, most women can get away with just wearing mascara.

But if you want to add a little pizzazz to your face, try experimenting with colored mascaras like green or purple.

You may be surprised at how much these colors brighten your eyes. Just remember: less is more when it comes to makeup.

And while we’re on that subject, let’s talk about lipstick—the perfect finishing touch!

You should always go for a lip liner pencil in a shade slightly darker than your natural lip color—

this will help keep lipstick from bleeding outside of its intended area, which could result in an unflattering splotch around your mouth.

Testing your outfit combinations before wearing them

It’s important to check how your outfit will fit in reality before wearing it.

Just because you may like two colors, that doesn’t mean they’ll work well together.

Take a photo of yourself wearing different outfits in front of a plain white wall, so that you can see what combinations look best for your body type.

Before spending money on expensive clothes, test them out first!

Also, be sure to take into account whether or not an item needs to be dry cleaned or washed at home and if it needs ironing afterward.

If so, factor these extra costs into your decision about whether or not an item is worth buying.

Be smart when shopping!

The last thing you want is to have a closet full of clothing that never gets worn. Save your money for high-quality items, as they tend to last longer than cheap ones.

And don’t forget: You can always get creative by borrowing clothing from friends or family members—or asking them where they bought their outfits from.

Suggestion

Whenever you are choosing colors, there are a few very easy tips that will help you choose colors that complement each other and will help keep your designs looking great.

Using these tips will ensure you get good results every time. The first tip is to use complementary colors for your design (meaning pick two colors that are opposite each other on a color wheel).

By doing so, your design will stand out from others and be eye-catching. Also, when using complementary colors, try to make sure they are of similar value.

For example, if you have one dark color in your design, make sure you have another dark color in it as well.

If both colors are light or medium values then they will not complement each other and won’t work well together in a design.

Another tip when picking complementary colors is to make sure they aren’t too similar.
