How to thank god every time

When we feel the presence of God and his blessings, there’s no reason not to thank him.

Still, many of us aren’t exactly sure how to go about it—or even if we should!

In this article, we’ll talk about what prayer is, why it matters, and how you can use it to express your gratitude to God through faith-filled actions every day.

Praise & Gratitude

Acknowledging divine providence through praise and gratitude is an indispensable, even a sacred obligation for Muslims.

The Throne, in a loud voice, while standing erect is commonly known as tahajjud (lit. latter-night offering), after its prescribed time of late evening.

It was enjoined by Muhammad: Offer frequent praises to Allah at night and in the early hours.

(Muslim) In addition to being recommended during Ramadan, it is desirable throughout the year.

The Prophet said: Recite Subhan Allah thirty-three times every morning and La ilaha illallah thirty-three times every evening; that is better for you than possessing red camels (the best kind).

He also advised: Whoever recites ten verses from Surat Al Fatiha in a day will not be recorded among the heedless.

Prayer & Meditation

It's very important that you develop a daily prayer and meditation routine.

When we pray, we are thanking God for all His mercies, while meditating on passages from scripture.

These two practices strengthen our relationship with Him and help us grow in wisdom and discernment.

Through them, we draw near to Him—as close as one can get without actually being physically present.

They also open our hearts and minds so that we are able to see Him working all around us in our everyday lives.

Prayer and meditation will help you be more receptive to God’s guidance and direction.

This is especially true when it comes to your career path; He will show you where He wants you to go!

Forgiveness & Compassion

Forgiving is a powerful act of self-compassion.

Forgiveness is not about condoning or excusing another person’s hurtful actions, but rather releasing that person from your anger and negative feelings so you can heal and move on with your life.

Part of forgiveness is learning how to empathize with another human being.

The ability to compassionately understand why someone might behave in a certain way can actually prevent you from judging them, which allows for a more serene and loving existence.

It’s also important to practice compassion toward yourself.

Self-forgiveness can help you forgive others more easily as well as change your perspective when things don’t go as planned.

It also helps relieve stress, which contributes to overall health and wellness.

Generosity

One of the strongest pillars of faith is generosity.

The Qur’an states that the truly faithful are those whose hearts find rest in worship; who patiently endure.

Who spend some part of every day, however small, in praising God for guiding them on their way; and who give to charity from what We have provided for them.

It was with His final sermon that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) concluded: O People! Your God is one and your forefather (Adam) is one.

An Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white except by piety and good action.

Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that Muslims constitute one brotherhood.

Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly.

Faith & Trust in God

To keep your belief intact, it’s best to thank Him every time He blesses you.

Have faith that He will give you everything you need, and take solace in knowing that when you turn to Him, He listens—and always answers with His all-powerful grace.

There are a number of ways to thank God for His blessings.

Here are just a few prayers, meditation, writing down what you’re thankful for (you can even start a gratitude journal), volunteering at a local soup kitchen or shelter, and donating money or goods to those who are less fortunate than yourself.

Whatever your method is, make sure it comes from an honest place within your heart; if it doesn’t feel right or isn’t something you truly believe in, then don’t do it!
